Stadia News
The launch last November was somewhat chaotic for Google. Between the misunderstandings of some, even in the media, and the promises postponed, Stadia had a little trouble convincing the community. Today, with the pandemic crisis and the various confinements, Google offers, to anyone who wants, to test its Stadia service with two months of subscription to the Pro formula.
As a reminder, Stadia offers a free plan that allows you to play the service from your Chrome browser in 1080p. With the Pro plan, the user can enjoy 4K, play from a compatible smartphone or via a Chromecast Ultra with the official controller, in addition to the Chrome browser. The subscription will be € 9.99 per month after the two free months and if you do not wish to continue with the Pro formula, you will switch to the free formula (available for all former Pro only), obviously keeping the games that you will have bought (not the ones offered in the Pro formula therefore). Due to bandwidth restrictions related to COVID-19, the default definition remains 1080p but you can force 4K in the options.
April News
In April, Stadia Pro gives you access to nine games: GRID, Destiny 2, GYLT, Serious Sam Collection, Spitlings, Stacks on Stacks, Steamworld Dig 2, Steamworld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech and Thumper. All this will allow you to test the service with your internet connection and with different games to get an idea.
To subscribe therefore, it is from today with your Google account and for the next 48 hours only (offer deadline). Obviously, everything is done on Stadia.com to register and finalize everything from the Android or iOS application (any smartphone, Stadia compatible smartphones can also launch games). And after, you can play as well with an unofficial controller as the keyboard and the mouse.
